We’re excited to announce the opening of a new OPSWAT office in Romania! With the acquisition of Red Earth Software, we were looking to further expand our development capacity. Our office in Hungary proved to be a major success, so we decided to continue expanding in the region. With new offices in Hungary and Romania, we can now offer a greater level of support for our current and future customers in the region.
Our new office in Romania is located in the center of Timisoara, a very important IT hub, with an outstanding view at the Maria Theresia Bastion, a historical monument in the heart of Timisoara.
The award-winning office is designed to resemble a spaceship, and features a number of cool perks: desks displayed in an open space to foster collaboration and interaction amongst employees, a relaxation area for playing console games, two wacky conference rooms, and a fully-equipped kitchen. A private elevator connects our office to the basement, where a secure storage is located for the team to store their bikes. Free refreshments, healthy snacks and fresh fruit are also available to help make the office environment even more enjoyable!

The office in Timisoara will be responsible for developing the following teams: Mail Security, Metascan Online Front End and Customer Support.
- One of the most requested features for our products is without a doubt mail security. With the Red Earth Software acquisition, all of our Metascan® customers will now have access to the Metascan Mail Agent, which can scan their system for email-borne threats. Customers will also have access to Policy Patrol products, Mail Security and Secure File Transfer.
- Metascan Online has become one of our fastest growing products, so we would love to expand its features and make it a highly trusted reference website for cloud-based multi-scanning. Investing in our products is an important part of our vision and is unquestionably the best thing for our companies’ success.
- Because we value our European market, we have included a Customer Support team for our Romania office. It was important to have our support team close to our clients, so that we can offer them timely guidance and support.
