OPSWAT is excited to announce the release of Metascan 3.8.2! The update includes several significant feature enhancements including improved ICAP overflow handling, additional logging export capabilities, and a new version of Metascan Client for Linux. The latest version is available for download through the new OPSWAT Portal.
Metascan version 3.8.2 includes several improvements to the web-based management console and the ICAP server configuration capabilities. The configuration update allows administrators to address server overload behavior by determining if files should be allowed or blocked depending on if the Metascan server is unable to handle all of the ICAP requests.
Additional enhancements in the release include new links to quickly export debug information – either through a quick debug log or a verbose log package. The verbose logging will retrieve logs and other relevant files from your system to assist in troubleshooting, including database logs, Windows event logs, and Metascan REST server logs. Also included included in the new update is the latest version of the Windows-based endpoint scanning solution Metascan Client, as well as the beta versions now available for the Linux and OSX platform.
